8-Year-Old Tweet Accurately ‘Predicted’ The Death Of Kobe Bryant But Is It Even Real?

It has been over 24 hours since Los Angeles Lakers legend and one of the greatest basketball players to ever step on the court, Kobe ‘Bean’ Bryant lost his life in a horrible helicopter crash alongside eight other people who were present in the aircraft. His 13-year-old daughter, Gianna Bryant was also one of the eight passengers who expired in the accident.

Stars from all over the world, came together to say goodbye to the ‘Black Mamba’ who won five NBA titles with the Lakers and made it to the top-5 in the all-time scoring list of the league.

And while people were mourning the death of the 41-year-old, a tweet seems to be resurfaced on the internet eight years after it was written by a Twitter handle called @dotNoso which apparently predicted the exact way in which Bryant was going to die.

“Kobe is going to end up dying in a helicopter crash,” read the tweet which was uploaded on November 14, 2012.

Obviously, not everyone believes in the legitimacy of this post and people feel that this tweet was nothing but a sad way in which a hacker tried to capitalise on something so unfortunate and gain some online popularity, however, another Twitter user started a thread to provide proof of why and how this tweet was legitimate:

One of the most believable theories is that the user cracked a really back joke back in 2012 when Kobe started flying between places a lot. The fact that Bryant used to travel using the helicopter a lot was even confirmed by another Lakers legend and the former general manager of the purple and gold franchise, Jerry West who knew the NBA star closely.

Whatever the case maybe. Whether this is an actual tweet from eight years ago or just a lowlife trying to gain some online traction, the fact remains that the world lost an amazing basketball player and this gap, this crater will never be filled by another player, ever in the future of the game.

Other Twitter users are divided on the take. Some believe that the tweet was legitimate:

While others are calling it a fake:
