After Playing Just 2 Games With The Warriors, Andrew Wiggins’ Trade Rumours Are Already Afloat

It has only been TWO GAMES since the Golden State Warriors traded D'Angelo Russell to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Andrew Wiggins and some future draft picks at the trade deadline.

But even though Wiggins has looked like he is fitting in nicely with his new roster, rumours have already started floating around that the Warriors management is looking to move Wiggins for a proven star and future draft picks!

Owner Joe Lacob has publicly stated that they want to build another superteam during this era to dominate the world of NBA, something Wiggins (a former No. 1 draft pick) has not been able to do in the last six years of his professional career.

Wiggins was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2014 draft pick only to be traded to the Wolves in a three-way deal including the Philadelphia 76ers in order to bring Kevin Love to join forces with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. He was projected to be the next Kobe Bryant because of the skill sets and style of play he commanded, however after bagging the max contract, Wiggins performance has declined every season.

Last season, Jimmy Butler called the young stars of the Timberwolves “soft” and unwilling to work hard to win an NBA Championship.

According to me (JUST A THEORY), the Warriors will try to trade for Harrison Barnes from the Sacramento Kings as Barnes has proven to flourish in the Steve Kerr coaching system during the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons when they won a championship and created an NBA record of 73-9 win-loss difference, respectively.

Kerr is Wiggins’ fourth head coach in six years and if he does not work under this winning culture, then sadly Wiggins’ future would be of that a glorified role player who can average 20 points but will never be the focal point of an organisation looking to win championships.
