Anthony Davis Was Worried About An ‘Earlobe Injury’ & Got Out Of The Game To Get It Checked

Updated: Jan 17, 2020

The Los Angeles Lakers have registered their first win of the 2019-2020 regular season with a brilliant defensive display, forcing 22 turnovers against the Utah Jazz in a 95-86 home-court game season opener.

The power duo of Lebron James and Anthony Davis racked up a total of 53 points and looked a lot more comfortable with the ball as compared to their first game against Kawhi Leonard’s Los Angeles Clippers.

Having said that, in a rather interesting incident during the second quarter of the game, ‘The Brow’ Davis decided to move out of the game and visit the Lakers’ medical staff fearing an earlobe injury.

Obviously the doctors cleared him within a couple of minutes and the Power Forward was back on the court in no time but the mere fact that such issues have begun to bother the best of the players in the league is clearly abysmal.

We talk about how the league has gone soft and then there are people who argue that they are simply taking precautions to have longer careers and a healthy post-retirement life but this is absolutely ridiculous.

Against the Jazz, Davis went on to score 21 points along with seven rebounds and five rejections to within 33 mins which is exactly the kind of game Magic Johnson and the rest of the franchise are expecting out of him.
