Former 10-time NBA All-Star and one of the greatest “What If’s” of the league, Carmelo Anthony played his last game in an NBA franchise uniform in November 2018 and is yet to hear an offer from any of the 30 teams ahead of the new season.
However, that did not stop him from carrying on with the rest of the star-life he continues to enjoy, especially in the fashion industry.
Last week, Anthony hosted the second edition of his annual Melo Made even in Harlem, New York highlighting some of the finest work done by South African artists.
In an interview with GQ magazine’s Cam Wolf, Melo spoke about the future of the athlete on the basketball court and more.
The athlete said that if this is the end of his basketball career, he will certainly have fashion as a “big pillar” of his future as a professional.
“I didn’t want it to be too sporty,” Anthony told Wolf about his Melo Made event.
“I didn’t want no basketball vibes. I wanted it to be subtle.”
Having played only 10 games last season, the chances of seeing Melo perform on an NBA court seems to be fading away as the 2019-2020 season approaches.
While he looks to be firing on all cylinders in the videos of him playing in the gym, it clearly has failed to impress the franchise owners as he clearly has no contract yet.
