LeBron James & Dwyane Wade Congratulate Carmelo Anthony On Finally Returning To The NBA

Updated: Jan 17, 2020

Ladies and gentlemen, the faith in the NBA is restored because of the Portland Trail Blazers who have decided to bet on the six-time All-Star Carmelo Anthony to give themselves that “extra boost” with the hopes of making past teams like the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers come playoffs time.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the former Houston Rockets Small Forward has signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Blazers and is scheduled to make his 2019-2020 season debut against his former side against ex-teammates James Harden and Russell Westbrook on Monday night.

Ever since playing his last game with the Rockets on November 8, 2018, Anthony has been out of action for more than a year now and has shown desire to make a return to the league on several occasions.

So it can be assumed what a feeling it might have been for the 35-year-old to finally get a contract with an NBA franchise, albeit not an ideal one.

As soon as the news of him returning to the league broke out, his best buddies from the business LeBron James and Dwyane Wade took to Twitter to congratulate him:

The new basketball season has been full of surprises. With great teams like the Golden State Warriors plummeting to an instant season-failure to older, “washed-out” players showing a strong comeback. You never know how crazy this season can get for Melo and his new team, the Portland Trail Blazers!
