Lebron James Turns Back Time With A Monster Triple Double; Lakers Manage OT Win Vs Mavericks

Updated: Jan 17, 2020

Lebron James in going to be 35 years old next month and the man is still putting up numbers even the best of the players in the NBA struggle to get despite being in the days of their prime.

The game between the Dallas Mavericks and the visiting Los Angeles Lakers saw the Akron-born play on a different level than the rest of the men on the floor. Having led the game in scoring ever since the first quarter, James went on to put up 39 points to go along with 12 rebounds and 16 assists and registered a monster triple double in an overtime win.

From his iconic tomahawk dunk to clutch and confident three late in crunch time, James felt in his skin no matter what Luka Dončić and the rest of the Mavs threw at him.

Yes, he passed the opportunity to win the game in the fourth quarter but that pass led to Avery Bradley getting an opener jumper just inside the three-point arc which he just happened to miss.

Eventually, with a little more than six seconds left for the Mavs to pick the W, James drove to the basket and rocketed a pass to a clutch three-point specialist in Danny Green, who did exactly what’s expected out of him and sunk the game-tying shot.

The extra time was for the King to enjoy his prowess. Out of the 16 points that the Lakers scored in OT, nine belonged to James and four came of the two assists that he made to Anthony Davis.

James was visibly upset after not getting a 40-point triple double as he missed his final free throw but was immediately seen cheering his teammates on from the sidelines after getting substituted in the final moments of the game.

Did we mention he is going to turn 35 in December this year?
