Former LA Lakers Point Guard Lonzo Ball has spoken about his close relations with his father LaVar Ball in open in the past. He has credited his bond with his dad for the establishment of their family company Big Baller Brand.
However, very recently this presumably unbreakable bond has taken a severe hit in due to Alan Foster, LaVar's business partner who reportedly stole more than $1 Million from the family with LaVar’s being completely clueless about the situation.
Lonzo not only sued Forster without consulting his father but has also decided to part ways with the BBB brand and clearly, things aren’t as rosy as they once were.
The 51-year-old along with his wife Tina Ball shed light on this “rift” within the family during the season premier of Ball in the Family.
“This is the first little friction…I have to let him know that family is first. So, he stepping out of bounds for a minute and now I have to put him in-bounds. Because everything is fine. There’s just some things that have to be done,” said LaVar Ball.
The NBA talent wants to be a brand of his own. He is a millionaire, will most probably be starting for the New Orleans Pelicans this regular season and is on his way up the success ladder. However, LaVar still feels that he can direct his son’s live and control his actions.
The father is infamous for being stubborn and rash and if Ball Sr. truly things that he still runs the show, he has another thing coming.
